Happy New Here!

 

Well, it's a New Year and I'm new here - hence my post title - Happy New Here!

Let's see......where to start? Well, I lost my job, unceremoniously, in the middle of a Christmas party on December 22, 2012 (more on that real HIGH point in my career later boys and girls - there are more than a few chuckles to be had there!) and I have to say, it was the BEST gift I've ever received. It has spurred me on to making 2013 the best year yet (and as I'll be 45 in February, I'd say it's been a long time coming) by following some dreams down the proverbial "rabbit hole" to find out, once and for all, where they take me! Consider this your invitation to come along! I can't say yet just where we're going, but I can guarantee you it'll be a hilarious journey! Cause I'm nothing, if not the biggest f#%& up you've ever met!

So, to start with, I'm going to be pursuing three specific "career" dreams that I've had for quite some time. A.) First and foremost in my dream job category - WRITER (novelist, poet, screenwriter, greeting card author......A WRITER damn it!) So to ease me kick my ass into gear, I hereby challenge myself to write, something - ANYTHING every day! It is my resolve to set aside a half hour each and EVERY day to WRITE damn it! 2.) The thing that brings me joy only second to writing is PHOTOGRAPHY - so, I have challenged myself to take a picture EVERY day of 2013! and C.) An artist (I prefer "mixed media", in other words - JUNK! I can turn something from junky to funky in two shakes and I intend to do so - just as with my writing and photo challenges I have set a goal of one "art" project per week for all of 2013! I don't know where I'll find the time, let alone the room to pursue this last challenge (the garage is occupied by my husband's "mistress" a black Corvette, and he doesn't like me to get too close to her! But hey, what man ever wants his wife and mistress in the same room, eh?)
I will be setting up other blogs - to be more specific to each interest so come along, pick one, or all three and let's see how far we get and where we wind up on December 31, 2013!  Should be a blast, or at least make for some great laughs!  Because, as I stated previously, I'm a big f#%& up, but I promise I'm NOT dull!

Now, where to start?!?!  Did I happen to mention I have a pretty severe case of ADD?  No?  And what about the Bipolar?  Failed to mention that too huh???  Well, you can't say you weren't warned!!!
So here's your chance - RUN!  Still here?  Great! Now buckle up kiddies - it's bound to be a bumpy, albeit rip-roaringly hilarious ride!
